Why Aren't You Rich Yet? How To Get Rich And Stay Rich!

Why Aren't You Rich Yet? How To Get Rich And Stay Rich!

Expert Author Janet AngelI've counseled many multi-millionaires in my life. Most of them were born wealthy, or left a huge inheritance, but several of my clients over the years actually perpetuated their own great wealth; it is these individuals, and those like Oprah Winfrey who interest me. These are people who somehow knew that they would be famous and or rich early in their lives. They did not know why, they didn't know how, and certainly not when; but they had an inner "knowing" that it would happen.

Since I can not speak personally about Oprah's wealth sources we will leave her financial history out of this discussion. What I will tell you is that every single wealthy person that I have come to know, have certain qualities in common, and they have certain types of investments in common as well. Here is what I have learned about getting rich and staying rich forever:

Every multi-millionaire that I know has learned the secret of tithing. TITHING has gotten a bad rap in the religious circles because some churches seem to require tithing. Tithes are not supposed to be requested by the recipient. True Tithing is not a religious duty, but a personal gesture of gratitude to the person/place that most helps you gain higher wisdom, make you feel inspired, and feeds your soul. That may mean that your local church is to be the worthy recipient. What if then you are most inspired by the author of a really wonderful book; the writer of a great inspirational film, piece of music, or by a college professor? This is what you need to contemplate...what is it, WHO IS IT, that has moved you most toward helping your achieve your truest potential? Where have you gained the most wisdom as to the best ways to live a wonderful rich life? This is for you to decide.
Donations are different than tithes. You can donate to a cause, to a person in need, an organization, but tithing is meant to OPEN YOUR PROSPERITY DOORS TO THE RICH UNIVERSE. And when you tithe, you should be giving WITHOUT the thought of receiving anything in return. This may sound wrong to many people; however, usually it sounds wrong to the people who are NOT RICH. Rich people do tithe and have been tithing since biblical times. When I started tithing it was slightly uncomfortable at first. I learned about it from one of my wealthier clients. He had the yacht downtown Chicago, a huge company, homes in California, Florida, Italy, and on several islands. He traveled many months a year and donated to many worthwhile causes that helped poor children around the world. He taught me that although he did give to his church because he wanted to support their efforts, his tithes were directed at a person who most helped him learn the laws of living a blessed life. At first tithing was strange to me. Donating was easy. I couldn't pass someone on the street without giving to them, or to a needy organization I'd see on late night TV, but that wasn't helping me achieve my personal goals. It made me feel good and I still donate to several major causes, but tithing is what really catapulted my finances and my success. Soon tithing became easier and easier and now I actually look forward to giving money away to those people and places who inspire me; who help me move closer to my goals by giving me information that leads me in the direction of my dreams.
I remember the first tithe I sent out, it was to an author of inspirational material. Experienced tithers seem to adhere to the practice of tithing 10% of their gross income each month, however, my first tithe was only 1% of my monthly income. I was absolutely amazed and still am today as to how easily MONEY BEGAN TO FLOW TO ME WHEN I STARTED TITHING. I found that what was most important was that tithing should feel wonderful inside, it shouldn't scare you. As your tithes grow, it says to the universe that I CAN GIVE THIS AWAY because I AM WEALTHIER NOW THAN EVER BEFORE. It was a little bit eerie when checks and cash would come into my life unexpectedly. Here are some examples of my personal financial surprises as I started and have continued tithing:
I have received anonymous financial gifts...thousands. The government sent me an unexpected check to reimburse me for attorney fraud. I've been approved for loans when I thought I'd have no prayer of success. Someone wrote me to tell me that there was unclaimed money waiting for me in some bank that I had forgotten about over 20 years ago. I sold my business and made thousands more than I had anticipated. My house sold for MORE than my asking price. I sold a second home when everyone else in the neighborhood couldn't sell. I learned more secrets about how to buy real estate for pennies on the dollar. I was given one financial tip after the next to increase my personal wealth. Successful business ideas began to flow to me and from me like water out of a tap. My life began to open up to success and I completed many projects more easily than ever before. These wonderful types of occurrences are now common place in my life and I owe much of this to opening to true tithing. I've loved receiving all the wonderful messages over the years of all of the happy financial and career surprises that seem to effortlessly flow to those who practice this universal law properly. If it doesn't feel good to give to the place you thought you were supposed to give, then give to the place that makes you feel wonderful; a place that makes you smile time and time again for the joy you feel in sharing. Remember donating and tithing are not the same.
Although tithing is one of the things that is practiced by the rich people of this world, it is not everything. Here are some other hidden things that wealthy people tend to do: They have a written goal, and one that they actually BELIEVE that they can achieve in a reasonable amount of time. They also have long term goals. They learn early in life to delegate all sorts of things in life, including simple tasks that prevent them from using their time to do whatever it is that they do best. Rich people look at life this way: WHO can I help? HOW can I make this world better in some way? WHERE is the need?
WHAT is it that is most needed? The wealthy people of this world find ways to improve life in some way. They have a burning desire to succeed, to share their gifts and talents with the world. They concentrate NOT on money, but on how they can make a positive difference in the world around them. From the fledgling companies to the youngest inventors, they have enthusiasm and a passion. The "soon to be wealthy" direct their efforts toward a defined goal.
Here are some other things that are practiced by the rich and often by the famous as well: They do what THEY DO BEST, and GIVE THE REST TO OTHERS WHO KNOW MORE AND CAN DO BETTER. So, if you are not a good salesperson, do not waste your time knocking on doors. Perhaps your efforts are best spent inventing, or hiring, or researching. When people first start out in business of course they have to wear many hats, but even then, smart business people find a way to "multiply themselves." By multiplying yourself you can accomplish so much more, it will amaze you. Do some time management analysis right now. How long does it take you to complete the tasks necessary to conduct business? How much time do you spend in front of the television each day? How many people do you speak with each day? How much time do you spend researching better ways to do business? How many books have you read?
Really successful people BECOME AN EXPERT IN THEIR FIELD. Read as much as you can, learn as much as you can about whatever it is that thrills you, then practice, practice, practice until you are the best. Study if that is what it takes, memorize, and then delegate all tasks to others.
Successful people DRESS FOR SUCCESS. That doesn't necessarily mean that you have to wear dress clothes every day; but, what it does mean is that you should look your best. Wear pressed pants and shirts, dresses or skirts. Wear clean jeans and sparkling white shirts, or even great looking T-shirts if your job is out of doors. Drive the best and cleanest car you can. Buy great looking SHOES, and a great looking BRIEFCASE and PURSE or WALLET. Be clean and take care of your personal hygiene. SMILE and mean it! LISTEN carefully when you are speaking with people. FIND A MENTOR and be grateful for all things you currently have in your life. Successful people also wear high-end colognes/perfumes. Get your own signature scent, one that everyone says smells great on you. Wear it lightly, never over douse yourself with a fragrance, just a hint is plenty.
Wealthy people that I have met all seem to have learned how to have their MONEY WORK FOR THEM. They learn to invest in various stocks, bonds, companies as your financial advisor will understand, but they also learn about other methods of investing for a good return, and sometimes a great return when others are making mediocre returns on their money. Every single wealthy client I have come to know owns real estate; either they have land that they later develop, or they buy low and sell high.
SEE YOURSELF WITH your dream. Be immersed in your own success and the joy of contributing to the betterment of life in some way. LOVE yourself and pay yourself right after you pay GOD. Tithing is a way of giving back to the Universe and God for helping your achieve your goals. Take a notepad and place it on your nightstand, put one in your car, and another in your pocket/purse. Write down everything you are grateful for first thing in the morning, in the middle of your day, and before bed each night.
Look for further articles surrounding how to fulfill your dreams and reach your fullest potential. You CAN create the life of your dreams!! Go for it! Give tithing a try.
